We would love to have your kiddo for any of our 2026 Camps! You can register and pay by clicking on the 'Register Here' button below each camp description. You will also need to complete the Registration form found by clicking 'Registration Form' below each description. There are some FAQ's at the very bottom of the page to review as well.

Spring Break Camp

River Life: Axolotl Edition

Dive into the hidden world beneath the river’s surface! Campers will discover amazing aquatic animals — especially the incredible axolotl — while learning how river ecosystems work and how they can help protect these watery habitats.

Art Along the River - Lower

Young artists will explore the colors, textures, and stories of the river through hands-on art projects inspired by nature. Campers will create paintings, collages, and sculptures while discovering how the river has inspired people throughout history.

June 2nd from 9am to 3pm

River Explorers

Campers dive into the world of river animals and habitats through games, crafts, and outdoor discovery. Kids will learn how plants, animals, and water all work together to keep the river ecosystem healthy.

June 4 - 5 from 9am to 3pm

Lights, Camera, River!
First Offering

Campers become filmmakers as they plan, film, and edit a short nature documentary about the river. Along the way, they learn storytelling, camera skills, and fascinating facts about local wildlife and conservation.

 June 11 -12 from 9am to 3pm

River Science Lab
First Offering

Budding scientists investigate how rivers work by testing water, studying insects, and exploring erosion and pollution. Through experiments and real-world challenges, campers learn how science helps protect our waterways.

June 17th from 9am to 3pm

Junior River Engineers

Future engineers design, build, and test solutions to river challenges like flooding, erosion, and transportation. Campers use teamwork and the engineering design process to create and improve their own working models.

June 22 - 23 from 9am to 3pm

River Adventure Quest

This action-packed camp turns campers into river adventurers as they use maps, clues, and teamwork to solve challenges. Kids explore river geography, history, and environmental problem-solving through interactive missions.

July 9 - 10 from 9am to 3pm

Older campers will use the river as inspiration to explore advanced art techniques while learning how nature, history, and culture influence creative expression. Through painting, mixed media, and collaborative projects, students will observe the river closely and turn their discoveries into meaningful works of art.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Is Lunch/Snack provided? No, children must bring a lunch and two snacks as well as a water bottle to camp each day. 

  • Do you have to attend the entire camp? It is preferred every child attends the entire camp so that they get the full experience. 

  • Can I pay with a check? Of course, you can drop off a check at RDC or put it in the mail to 117 South Water St. Paducah, KY 42001. 

  • Can my children all attend the same camp? As long as the children fall into the grade parameters set then they may attend the same camp, however we do not allow exceptions for this to ensure all children have the same enjoyable experience. 

  • If I am an RDC Member can I receive a discount on Summer Camp Registration? Yes! Call Lindsay at 270-575-9958 to receive a discount code. 

  • When is the last day to register for camp? Registrations are accepted until 2 weeks prior to the scheduled camp start day or until camps are sold out and then a wait list will begin.

  • What will happen if I have to cancel my child's registration? If you cancel before May 15th then you will receive a full refund, less a $25 processing fee. Cancellations after May 15th a 50% refund will be issued. Any cancellations less than two weeks to the start of camp no refund will be issued.  

  • What if the camp I want is Sold Out? You may add your child to the wait list by emailing lramsey@riverdiscoverycenter.org and if a spot opens up you will be notified in the order which you are added to the waitlist.
