Animal Encounters

Animal Encounters is a 3-hour program for second graders. RDC partners with The Land Between the Lakes Nature Station to teach children about animals in our riparian environment. The students are divided into rotations as they visit the various stations. The program meets Core Content for second grade and includes an animal habitat activity, an animal adaptation activity and a hands-on experience with live animals.  This program meets the following content standards: 2- LS4-1, 2.NB5.6, 2.NBT.7, 2.NBT.9, 2.NBT.5, W.2.7, W.2.8, 2.0A.1, K-2-ETS1-2
